A Giant in the Community
November 14, 2009

A young man walked on to the University of Memphis…little did anyone know at the time the impact that he would he have in the lives of others. He then went on and played in the NFL and has made sure to leave a legacy. His work in the community is special. He touches children, parents and others in ways that make everyone affiliated with him proud. Reggie is a young man who is dedicated to reaching the lives of America’s youth to make an impact.

Often times in this section I like to find the words of the person who I am referring to as way to get their message across more clearly. On his website reggiehowardfoundation.com the mission statement grabs attention…”To enhance personal development among youth by encouraging participation in activities that will foster life skills including leadership, self confidence, respect and sportsmanship.” Impressive to say the least!

Here is information on who Reggie Howard is and what his foundation is all about. This is from his website, which we urge you visit and make a donation if you are able.

It’s pretty clear that Reggie Howard is a leader that anyone would be proud to follow…hat’s off to Reggie Howard!

A majority of the children were at the Salvation Army because their parents were recovering from drug addictions, yet the kids were overwhelmingly excited about meeting Dr. J.
